The fun, multisport relay race through Bellingham

Whatcom Events has purchased the Bellingham Traverse and will begin hosting the race in 2026!
All previous participants will continue to receive newsletters with updates and changes. Stay tuned for more details as we bring this event back to the community. Registration opens in March of 2026.

Run, bike, and paddle through Bellingham’s scenic parks, winding trails, and open waterways, in this fun relay race adventure! Compete as a soloist, tandem team or a team of up to five.

Race Divisions

Within Coho, Chum and Company divisions, we have categories for Female, Male, Mixed, Family, and Masters (50+). Teams can have 3 to 5 racers.

Please note that in order for us to present awards in each division, we require a minimum of 3 people/teams in that division.

Chinook (solo) $125

Coho (tandem) $195

Chum (relay team) $295

Company Team*  (includes logo on our website and social media shout-outs) $345
