If you are registered and find yourself unable to race, use our message board to find a replacement. We do not issue refunds. Racers can revise teammates by managing their team online.

Yes, there will be filtered water at each leg of the race. We have a food vendor at Lake Padden. There are many food sources near Marine Park, the closest being the Ferry Terminal. Lakeline is a café near Bloedel Donovan that Park and Waypoint Park has multiple food vendors.
Packets will be available for pickup Friday the 28 th (Location TDB) 5:00 – 6:30 pm and after 10:30 am the day of the race at Waypoint Park. For Tandem and Teams, one person picks up for the entire team and anyone can pick up if they have the team name and/or number.
Tandem means that racers have the option of using a tandem bike for the Road Bike leg and/or a 2-person vessel for the Paddle leg. The other three legs of the race will be completed by one racer or the other, whoever has the timing chip!
Yes, all racers must have a support person/team to help you transition between legs with equipment, shoes, and clothing. Whatcom Events does not provide any assistance, monitoring, security, transportation, storage or other safe keeping of any equipment, clothing or property of any participant.

Traditionally five, but you can have someone race multiple legs if they wish.
As the Team Captain, you’re responsible for managing your team. This includes inviting participants, organizing payments and coordinating transportation and logistics. This Team Management Guide (pdf attached to email) for step by step help using the registration system and managing your roster.
Both, but mostly fun! We welcome friendly competition, but this event encourages flair, costumes and team spirit.
TEAM LOGISTICS SUGGESTIONS
PADDLE LEG
Location: Start at Waypoint Park, End at Marine Park. Vessels can be dropped off at Waypoint Park as early as 11:00 am.
Suggested transport: Road Cyclist drops off Paddler and Vessel at Waypoint Park and drives the car to Fairhaven/Marine Park so it is there when the Paddler finishes.
ROAD BIKE LEG
Location: Start at Marine Park, End at Lake Padden.
Suggested transport: Road Cyclist drops off Paddler and Vessel at Waypoint Park and drives the car to Fairhaven/Marine Park so it is there when the Paddler finishes. Coordinate the key transfer with the Paddler. Road Cyclists ends at Lake Padden, a 4.5 mile bike ride to the finish line, biking back to town is suggested.
TRAIL RUN LEG
Location: Start at Lake Padden Swim Beach, End at Galbraith Mountain Event Space.
Suggested transport: Park at Galbraith Mountain/Padden Trails Parking Lot. Walk or run 2.4 miles to Lake Padden Swim Beach for start. When you finish your run, you will have a 1.3 mile cool down to the parking lot.
MOUNTAIN BIKE LEG
Location: Start at Galbraith Mountain Event Space, End at Bloedel Donovan Park.
Suggested transport: Bike to the Event Space for the start and bike the 4 miles from Bloedel Donovan to the Finish Line. Alternatively, you can use the car that the Greenway Runner parks at Bloedel if it has racks.
GREENWAY RUN LEG
Location: Start at Bloedel Donovan Park, End Waypoint Park
Suggested transport: Either get dropped off by a support person or park at Bloedel Donovan and leave a key for your Mountain Biker if your car has bike racks.
