Packet Pickup
We will be offering packet pickup at Kulshan Trackside from 4:30-6:00 pm on Friday. If you are unable to pickup Friday, you can grab your packet from us at the start line/Waypoint Park anytime after 11:00 am the day of the race.
Saturday
Race Day
The race starts at 12:00 noon with a mass start on the bay! Vessels will self-seed according to skill level and the 3.9 mile course will have orange buoys to guide racers to Marine Park. Safety boats will be on the bay to monitor and assist with the race.

After Party/Awards
Join us at Kulshan Trackside after the race! Grab a pint and food from a wide variety of vendors and celebrate with all the racers. Award ceremony will be at 4:00 pm. We will award custom medals for the top three finishers in each division.

Both, but mostly fun! We welcome friendly competition, but this event encourages flair, costumes and team spirit.
Traditionally five, but you can have someone race multiple legs if they wish.
Tandem means that racers have the option of using a tandem bike for the Road Bike leg and/or a 2-person vessel for the Paddle leg. The other three legs of the race will be completed by one racer or the other, whoever has the timing chip!
Yes, all racers must have a support person/team to help you transition between legs with equipment, shoes, and clothing. Whatcom Events does not provide any assistance, monitoring, security, transportation, storage or other safe keeping of any equipment, clothing or property of any participant.

As the Team Captain, you’re responsible for managing your team. This includes inviting participants, organizing payments and coordinating transportation and logistics. This Team Management Guide (pdf attached to email) for step by step help using the registration system and managing your roster.

Yes, there will be filtered water at each leg of the race. There are many food options near Marine Park in Fairhaven Lakeline is a café near Bloedel Donovan that Park and Waypoint Park has multiple food vendors.
Packets will be available for pickup Friday the 28th at Kulshan Trackside from 5:00 – 6:30 pm and after 11:00 am the day of the race at Waypoint Park. For Tandem and Teams, one person picks up for the entire team and anyone can pick up if they have the team name and/or number.

If you are registered and find yourself unable to race, use our message board to find a replacement. We do not issue refunds. Racers can revise teammates by managing their team online.
