The fun, multisport relay race through Bellingham

Whatcom Events has purchased the Bellingham Traverse and will begin hosting the race in 2026!
All previous participants will continue to receive newsletters with updates and changes. Stay tuned for more details as we bring this event back to the community. Registration opens in mid-March of 2026.

Run, bike, and paddle through Bellingham’s scenic parks, winding trails, and open waterways, in this fun relay race adventure! Compete as a soloist, tandem team or a team of up to five.

Race Divisions

Within Tandem, Relay and Company teams, we have categories for All Female, All Male, Mixed (Open to All), Family (*), and Masters (All Racers 50+). Teams can have 3 to 5 racers.

Please note that in order for us to present awards in each division, we require a minimum of 3 people/teams in that division.

Solo $125

Tandem $195

Relay team $295

Company Team** $345

*Family: All racers must be related in some way. This may include but is not limited to step-relations, cousins, in-laws and long term partners.

                              **Company Team: All team members must be employed by the same employer or civic group. Compete for fame, glory, bragging rights and the coveted first place company trophy. Just tell your boss it’s team bonding. Also includes your logo on our website and a social media shout-outs.
